Description

Four surrendered submarines at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, New Hampshire (USA), in May 1945. The photo was taken from one of the Type IXC/40 submarines U-805 or U-1228;
The minelaying Type XB submarine U-234 is visible to the left;

Tied up in front is one of the IXC/40 submarines and U-873 (Type IXD).
