Nederlands: Beschrijving Gezicht op het Westerdok vanaf de Westerdoksdijk Op de voorgrond de Rijnsleepboot "Marie", in 1879 gebouwd op de werf 't Kromhout van D. Goedkoop Jr. Links op de achtergrond de zes houten loodsen van het Withoedenveem en Werf Rangoon van de heren Van der Meulen en Van Epen, met in het verschiet het koepeltorentje van de Eilandskerk. Achter Rijnsleepboot "Marie" ligt het Engelse ijzeren schroefstoomschip "E.S. Jobson" afgemeerd, dat tussen 30 juli en 7 augustus 1885 in het Westerdok lag, en daarachter, aan de kade voor gebouwencomplex "De IJzerstaven" van de ijzerhandel van de Gebroeders Van Vliet, het houten Canadese fregatschip "N.B. Lewis", dat van 24 juli tot 1 augustus 1885 in het Westerdok afgemeerd was. |
