Description

Mattie Rae Spivey Fox, Ph. D., conducted trace nutrient research at FDA from 1962 to 1985 using Japanese quail, a novel approach that streamlined such investigations. Her work helped inform FDA’s standard-setting responsibility for the fortification of certain foods with essential elements.
