Deutsch: Diese Karte von Wien und Umgebung wurde nach der türkischen Belagerung der Stadt 1683 veröffentlicht. Die Entwicklung der Belagerung war ziemlich spektakulär, zumal die Eroberung der Stadt im letzten Moment von einer alliierten Armee unter der Führung des polnischen Königs John III Sobieski vereitelt wurde. Dem polnischen König gelang es, die Stadt zu entlasten und die türkische Armee zu vertreiben.
Nederlands: Deze kaart van Wenen en omgeving verscheen naar aanleiding van de Turkse belegering van de stad in 1683. Het beleg had een spectaculair verloop, vooral omdat de inname van de stad op het allerlaatste moment werd verijdeld door een geallieerd leger onder leiding van de Poolse Koning Johan III. De Poolse koning slaagde er in om de stad te ontzetten en de Turkse legers te verslaan.
English: This map of Vienna and vicinity was published as a result of the Turkish siege of the city in 1683. The development of the siege was rather spectaculair especially since the capture of the city was frustrated at the very last moment by an allied army led by the Polish king John_III_Sobieski. The Polish king succeeded to relieve the city and to conquer the Turkish army.
